The structure of the programme allows you to choose optional courses in related areas which complement the core courses to give well-rounded coverage of the major issues and areas of modern financial and accounting theory and practice.

Fast track to professional accreditation:

Graduates of the BSc Accounting and Finance and BSc Banking and Finance degrees who wish to continue to professional accreditation may be able to get exemptions for certain modules from five professional bodies. This means you can gain your professional accreditation more quickly.

Studying degree of Accounting and Finance programmes gives you the breadth of understanding and the quantitative skills you need to launch into the accounting or finance industry. BSc Politics and International Relations

The degree provides a high quality and academically challenging education in politics and international relations to able students from a wide range of countries and background and help students to place politics and international relations in the wider context of the social sciences enable students intending to pursue higher degrees to develop the necessary analytical and theoretical sophistication, and breadth and depth of understanding, within their field of study. BSc International Development

The field of International Development is the attempt to understand and to shape processes of social and economic change in order to reduce poverty and to create a better life for poorer people, and the countries where they live. It combines social-science approaches from disciplines such as economics, politics, sociology and demography. It also requires an understanding of global processes of economics and politics as well as more local, national, and sub-national processes.

Career Opportunities

A degree in International Development Studies will allow you to study the complex social issues and developmental challenges facing many contemporary nation states. You will delve into the heart of the theory of development studies as well as the practical and pragmatic approaches of development taken by various world organizations, groups and governments. This BSc will help you to question and analyse information, develop arguments, and boost your analytical and communication skills – all of which is valued in management-related roles. This degree will help to prepare you for careers in areas of development, research, management and consultancy. You can choose to work as Policy Researcher, Population Studies Analyst, Public Affairs Consultant, Public Policy Analyst, Health Policy Planner, Historical Researcher, Human Rights Advocate, Immigration Officer, Institutional Researcher etc.

Each course of the EMFSS programme is assessed by one three-hour unseen written examination.

The written examinations take place on one occasion each year, normally commencing in May. These are held at established Examination centers worldwide.

  • Age 17+ by 30 November in the year of registration.
  • A’ Level / IBDP (Minimum 2 complete A Levels)
  • A pass in Mathematics at grade ‘C’ or above at GCSE/GCE ‘O’ level or equivalent
  • A pass in English at grade ‘C’ or above at GCSE/GCE ‘O’ level or equivalent. Or a test of proficiency may be required.
Each application will be considered on an individual basis, and the decision will be taken at the discretion of the University of London.

After doing EMFSS BSc Honors from London School of Economics and Political Science, University of London, gains you a level 6 qualification. This means the student can progress to various academic programmes, including*;
