Royal Holloway, University of London is one of the largest University of London Colleges and has an excellent reputation for teaching and research. It is ranked 17th in the UK in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2014–15. Its renowned School of Management directs the BSc Business Administration.

The BSc in Business Administration is led by academics within the School of Management. Now one of Royal Holloway’s largest departments, the School gives high priority to original research in international business, and the deep understanding of the subject that follows is reflected in its teaching of management studies. All staff members are active researchers, and the publication of their findings in books and journals is a key part of their professional work.

BSc Business Administration:

You study 12 courses over a course of three years to earn the BSc Business Administration degree.

Stage 1 - Four Courses

Stage 2 - Four Courses

Three Compulsory courses (All Specializations)

Plus One course as per the specialization

One Course from any of the following:

  • Managing organisation change and performance
  • Marketing research and digital marketing
  • The global economy and multinational enterprise

Each 30-credit course is structured around core ‘capsules’ of learning. There are fourteen 'capsules' for each course with self-contained learning outcomes that support the course and programme outcomes.

  • Assessment (Exam/coursework)

Assessment Methods

Each course of the Business Administration programme is assessed by one two-hour unseen written examination and one item of coursework. The marks achieved for the written examination and the coursework will be weighted on a 60:40 basis to calculate the overall mark for the course.

Coursework

The coursework is usually due in January. It comprises of an approximately 2000-3000 words essay. Weightage of this assessment method is 40 percent of total grade

Examination

The written examinations take place on one occasion each year, normally commencing in May. These are held at established centres worldwide. Weightage of this assessment method is 60 percent of total grade.

Royal Holloway BBA Entrance Requirements

Age 17+ by 30 November in the year of registration. A’ Level / IBDP or BTEC Business awards (provided grade BBB or above is achieved) Provide proof of competence in English by having UK GCSE/GCE ‘O’ level at grade C. Otherwise a test of proficiency may be required. Each application will be considered on an individual basis, and the decision will be taken at the discretion of the University of London.

Academic Progression
